i'm posting these because i don't know what i saw. the universe as we know it is a strange place, and our understanding of it is only growing. "everything's an unknown flying object if you're bad enough at identifying flying objects"

when: November 10, 2025, 5:58PM
where: I-294 south, a mile past the O'Hare exit
sighting: four orbs in a triangle formation with one in the center, another relay orb lower to the horizon, and another set of 3 orbs.
details: i was cruising in the left lane and saw extremely unusual air traffic patterns that turned out to be the 1st set of orbs. they quickly went from cycling colors to orange once the 2nd set arrived, which were already orange when i saw them. i turned on the radio and tuned to a dead station at both ends of the band and heard interference, even strong stations were clobbered by it. after many minutes of observation i had to take an exit due to a passenger's request.
after taking the exit i lost sight of any of them, as they were close to the treeline and I-294 is raised. i kept looking for them as my passenger handled their business, and spotted two that might have been apart of the group that had joined. as it was safe to do so, i grabbed a Canon Rebel T6i and took a few pics and even a video of them. it was the oddest thing, they looked like orbs before taking the pic, but as soon as i hit the autofocus trigger, i noticed they had typical aviation marker lights. something else happened in that instant, i felt what i can only describe as a super-position of a younger me from a specific time in my life, and that my access had been revoked/suspended/disabled.

when: early december 2023, at night
where: the top-end of US-127
sighting: a green meteor/fireball.
details: your standard meteor streak across the sky, ending in a bright green flash with no sound. nothing unusual other than the color.

when: late december 2021
where: west virginia turnpike, 0358 local time
sighting: a dim light flew across the sky, then sharply changed heading.
details: it was very late at night and i was very high up in the mountains with a clear view to the horizon. it was not very high up in the atmosphere, lower than where i'd expect to see commercial traffic. it didn't behave at all like a meteor or space junk and the the sun was in no position to cause reflections, either.

when: thanksgiving-ish 2021
where: "the other side of the road" to "not a drone"'s location
sighting: a pinpoint of light changed shape several times, then vanished in an instant.
details: if it weren't for the fact it did what it did, and that it was a perfectly clear day, i would otherwise think it was an aircraft's landing light.

when: easter 2019, at nautical twilight
where: kentucky route 1927, heading in to town
sighting: the 'art bell' triangular craft hovering over downtown Lexington. i first noticed an apex sillouetted against a cloud, then saw the dim blue-ish glow from the apexes as it moved away. it is important to note that i saw this before hearing art bell describe the craft he saw.

when: fall 2018
where: a horse field at the northwest junction of I-75 and I-64
sighting: a pinpoint of light hovering perfectly still over the field.
details: it got brighter then disappeared in an instant. it was at best guess no more than 300ft above the ground. i was less than a half-mile away from it. no sound could be heard over the road noise.
